Throughout his career in computer industry Greg Paperin has worked as a Solutions Architect, Software Engineer, Project Manager, Business Analyst and as an Independent Consultant for a large number of national and multi-national companies.
Greg has worked within leading multi-national organisations such as Microsoft and J. P. Morgan Chase Bank, consulted nation-wide businesses such as Foxray Germany and Optimax UK, and lead a large number of projects in partnerships with various small and mid-sized companies across a variety of industry sectors. Prior to his current commitment in computer science research Greg successfully lead his own IT consulting business. Greg participates in several popular open-source projects.

Senior Software Engineer / Architect
Greg has played the key technical role in numerous successful software projects. He was responsible for global product architecture affecting several release cycles, and for coordinating the efforts of several feature teams. Greg has ensured the establishment of department-wide and/or company-wide engineering practices and coding guidelines. He was also responsible for the establishment of and the compliance to strict quality measures at several occasions.
Previously, Greg has worked as Software Developer. In this role he has participated in the implementation of a large number of projects across various industry sectors.
Greg was responsible for the successful completion of a number of software- and other I.T.-centric projects. He has co-coordinated analyst and developer teams of up to seven people. Greg has consistently ensured that projects were delivered within the specified time constraints and the specified budget, and to full stakeholders' satisfaction.
Greg has worked with industry companies and departments of up to 100 employees to help them better understand and formalise their I.T.-based business processes. In this role Greg has enabled significant cost savings for his clients by streamlining their I.T.-centric processes and by leveraging state of art technologies most suitable for the clients' businesses. Together with his clients, Greg has elicited and described their business requirements and ensured that such requirements are well understood and successfully met by technical project teams.
Greg has worked in academic as well as in product-centric technology research for private companies as well as for some of the world leading academic institutions. His research resulted in several data processing algorithms that enabled the successful roll-out of software products. Greg has also published over a dozen research papers in several areas of computer science.
As an independent consultant Greg has advised numerous small and nation-wide companies with up to several hundred employees.
In this capacity Greg has helped his clients to better understand and to optimise their I.T.-centric business processes and assisted them with the implementation of appropriate technologies.
Greg has ensured the successful completion of a large number of software projects within the specified time and budget constraints and to full customer satisfaction. In doing so, Greg was responsible for architectural product designs and ensured the long-term viability of design decisions within the clients' technical infrastructure. Greg has also participated in the implementation and roll-out of numerous software projects.
