PhD studies

I have obtained my Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from the Clayton School of Computer Science and Software Engineering of Monash University (Melbourne, Australia) in 2010.

My research supervisor was Prof. David Green.
I was also co-supervised by Dr. Suzanne Sadedin and Dr. Alan Dorin.

The title of my thesis is "Mechanisms for Emergence and Self-Organisation in Complex Adaptive Systems: A Network-Theoretical Perspective". You can: read the abstract or download the entire thesis.

In my research I focused on areas such as complex systems, network theory, theoretical evolutionary biology, artificial life, evolutionary computation, and software systems engineering. In particular, I was interested in Dual Phase Evolution in complex adaptive systems. Some additional details can be found in the research section, or in my publications.
