Leaving Oz
I have not blogged for a while.. Some will have heard - I have been quite busy writing up my thesis. I call it pain train. But I can see the light at the end of the tunnel - just a couple of weeks to go.
Soon after I submit, I will have to leave Australia. I am very sad to leave all my friends and the great city of Melbourne behind, but a new exciting job and new adventures are waiting for me elsewhere.
I'd like to catch up with everyone once or twice more before I leave. I have a giant heap of things to sort out before I leave in mid-May, and very little time, so there are only two good occasions: I want to come together for a few drinks around the uni, and I also will have a house party before leaving. Everyone I know is invited and I hope that everyone can make it at least to one of the two events. It would be great if you came to both, but in case of doubt - come to the party. hallo greg! frag mich nicht, wie ich auf die idee gekommen bin, mal nachzusehen, was du so treibst - ich weiß es nicht :-) aber das ist eine feine seite, die du hier eingerichtet hast, und ich freue mich, dass es dir offenbar richtig gut geht! mich selber hats übrigens nach stuttgart (ausgerechnet!) verschlagen, der liebe wegen. für deine neuen pläne wünsche ich dir alles gute!

Ich finde es super, dass du dich meldest. Stuttgart ist cool; ein guter Freund von mir ist von dort. Was machst du da? Wie lauft es im Großen und Ganzen?
Ich bin von ein-paar Wochen nach Seattle gezogen - wegen Arbeit. Es ist eine sehr nette Statt. In Melbourne konnte ich den Sonnenuntergang hinder dem Ozean beobachten, nun geht die Sonne hinter einer schneebedeckten Spitze unter, die sich über grünen Wäldern und Wiesen erhebt.
